 Geoff Ensor

Geoff Ensor
Advocacy Manager
Geoff is either out on the road meeting with operators and TIA partners like the Department of Conservation, tourism organisations and the Mountain Safety Council or on the phone talking with them.

He works to resolve problems impacting on members, ensures TIA takes a leadership role on pan-industry issues including freedom camping and adventure tourism safety, and contributes to tourism’s voice on big cross-sector matters like mining on conservation land.

Prior to joining TIA in 2005, Geoff was a commercial pilot, including several years with Air Safaris. Before flying he worked as a sheep and cattle farmer in the South Island.

A bit of an all rounder, Geoff likes tramping New Zealand’s wild, mountainous areas, and soaking up the capital’s café culture.
